Why we started
The company’s purpose is to further develop tools which were made to support the work of the association: online and alternative education, and event organising.
Independent learning
It all started with Knowledge Constructors, an online study platform which gives students as much freedom as possible while still following a curriculum. The system was originally built for the Finnish national curriculum for elementary education, for students aged 7–17.
Exploring complex questions
UniQuery was built as a general learning tool where students solve complex questions and challenges.
Bringing people together
Open Space Organizer was built for the International Democratic Education Conference held in Finland in 2016, organised by the Association for Educational Progress in cooperation with other organisations.
School management, learning and wellbeing
Karhu School Management brings student administration, teaching plans, timetables, assessment, communication and pedagogical support together in one environment. It helps school leaders and teachers make everyday school life run more smoothly and focus their time and decisions on learning, participation and wellbeing.
